Waterside workers in the early 20th Century with Walter Brown at the end of the centre row, far left. Walter and wife Jessie purchased land on the corner of Waterworks and Hilder Roads in 1925, going on to develop a sizeable poultry farm which was inherited by their daughter Kathleen who had married Percy (Nig) Martin.
